One of only 700 produced, this is the first generation of every Class B RV on the road today, featuring a tough 2500 Freightliner chassis, unique Airstream design and an om612 Mercedes diesel engine.
This model, the T1N (Type 1 New) it's known for its longevity, and is widely dubbed the “Million Mile Sprinter”. It's a pre-DEF Diesel engine and can use diesel straight from the pump anywhere in or out of the country without the need of additives (aka DEF). All of its CA smog standards are grandfathered; it just recently passed emissions without an issue. Its 5 cylinder, 2.7 L engine provides a great fuel economy for its weight, ranging between 21-28 MPG.
Use for a daily driver, road trips or an instant ADU / Tiny Home! As its 3rd owner, I bought it with almost no knowledge of diesel engines or RVs, and it has been a valued travel companion that served me well.
