36 foot holiday rambler. 1985 model.Built extremely well.All aluminum construction, ceiling joist, floor joist, interior walls, wall studs, outer skin (all aluminum) .
The quality of these older holiday ramblers is hard to believe. Truly worth restoring.
Roof is two very large pieces of fiberglass.
The sides are perfectly flat aluminum sheet riveted right to the studs. There is no de-lamination and never will be, nothing to de-laminate. Unlike the new junk units, this thing has no wood paneling behind the outside panels, it's all aluminum. The unerbelly is completely closed in very tightly with galvanized steel panels with 1" styrofoam insulation on top of the metal to protect the plumbling and make for good tight house.
It is in very good shape for its age.
Unfortunately it did have some mis-fortune. The two crank up roof vents were busted out somehow, likely hail or tree limbs, not sure the cause. This resulted in water getting in for some time and ruining the ceiling paneling around those vents.
The cabinets however did not get damaged. All the cabs are in excellent condition.
So far everything tested has worked. Funaces and hot water heater fire right up. I have not test the ac units yet because prior owned disconnected them due to the ceiling being damage and partially down.
This is a project but a really good one, worth doing.
It was ahead of it's time for sure. It has some unique accent lighting built in around the edges of the ceiling. Similar to what people do today with the led strips. It has built in blender in the counter top, crazy. Also has closet lights that come automatically when you open the door, very cool.
The appliances show very minimal wear.
If you are holiday rambler person you know this thing is worth way more than I'm asking.Hopefully the right person sees this and wants to take it on and make it even better and awesome again.
I did try the washer and dryer only to find they were installed but not plugged in or connected with hoses. I honestly don't believe they were ever used.
Radio is old but pristine, sounds great.
