19' Airstream BAMBI travel trailer

We are offering an extremely clean and well cared for 2001 Airstream Bambi 19CB. Most Bambis (Airstreams smallest units) are 16 foot ... this unit was designed as a 19 foot version which is far less common.
This one has a 3500 lb Gross Vehicle Weight which means that you can pull it with a mini-pickup or mid-sized SUV in most terrains. Most larger airstreams require full size tow vehicles.
This unit was customized when new in 2001, for a Michigan woman who used it as a personal space when she attended equestrian events across the midwest. When not in use, it was always professionally attended to and stored indoors until she sold it to us in 2011. We have only had the opportunity to use it a handful of times in the last 15 years. Otherwise it has always been winterized and stored indoors as it was under the first owner.
The interior has custom upholstery and window treatments in a western theme. The walls and ceiling are fabric lined. The original owner has the unit carpeted which is not the most practical thing, but we have left it that way and it has always cleaned up well. But you could certainly change that out if you wanted to for something less maintenance intensive.

The trailer is 7 feet wide, needs 8' 9" for external clearance and has an interior standing height of 6' 3". It is single axle, equipped with electric brakes and comes with a load stabilizing hitch and torsion bars. I recently pulled it 200 miles behind a Toyota Tacoma pickup and really could hardly tell it was there. It requires 30A/120V if you intend to use the air conditioning, but it runs fine off a regular 20A circuit and extension cord for everything else.
It has a 675 CCA deep cycle marine/RV battery, which we just replaced with a Diehard just before Labor Day weekend. This is connected to an onboard trickle charger, which maintains it while stored and plugged in. On battery-only power, you can run the lights, entertainment devices (120/12v TV) and it will spark for your hot water and 2 burner gas stove. You can power the fridge from gas, so being off the grid for a few days is very doable if you want to weekend her in a place without power hookups as long as you aren't in need of the A/C. (It IS camping after all)
We just filled and tested all water, sewer and electrical/heat/AC systems. We did not winterize it in case you want to check them for yourself, but everything worked just fine. We will be winterizing it in late October if not sold by then. The hot water and forced air furnace have electronic ignition and are fueled with dual 20lb natural gas cylinders. The fridge is 3 cu/ft and has a freezer. It is gas *or* electric powered.
She holds 22 gallons of fresh water, and has 29 gallons of capacity between the gray and black water holding tanks. Awning is navy blue fabric and has seen very little exposure to the elements.
This is a 19CB (corner bed) Bambi, which features a bed you crawl into from the bottom, so that you don't need to "crawl over" someone in the middle of the night when nature calls. Most of the 16 footers are front (FB) or rear bed (RB) with crawl-over design. That was a big selling point for me. Front dinette folds down into additional sleeping room if needed.
A new Bambi is running about $75,000 MSRP. I looked at a 5-year old used 16 footer at the local Airsteam dealer last week, and they were asking $43,000. It had a white vinyl interior, was very plain, and was nowhere near as nice as this unit. I don't believe it even had an awning. So we feel this price is extremely within-market for its condition and design features.
You will find newer Bambis for less money. But not in this condition. Don't compare this to the used one full of dents ... compare this to the $75,000 new one.
If we don't get any serious offers, we'll put her away when the weather goes south and try again in the spring.
If you're looking at Airstreams, you know what you're getting here. 75% of all of them *ever* made are still on the road, These aren't cheap box campers made out of 2x2s. This is aerodynamic, structural aluminum that is designed to last generations.
