Winnebago Chieftain R/V Powered By LS 1977

Price: US $42,000.00 Item location: Lake Worth, Florida, United States
Description:

This Winnebago ALWAYS gets the reaction of "WOW!!" when people step inside. Anywhere I take it there's always lines of people waiting to step inside to get a look. an LS 6.0 with a 4l80e, this RV gets an easy 12 plus miles per gallon. I usually drive it at 55-65mph (I'm the old man in the right lane ;) but have driven it 70..85...plus at times. Stock Winnebago's go 65mph with a wind behind them downhill. The LS is a game changer. It's very responsive, unlike stock Winnebago's from this era. It has 2 gas tanks and the rear one has a dashboard switch that can bring fuel from it to the front tank so there's less gas station stops needed. The coach A/C is about a year and a half old. The interior is done up with a design that has early Americana from the 40's, 50's, 60's and 70's. It has been in several music videos (you can search on YouTube: "Jukiada", for one of them where they did a Breaking Bad theme down in Miami FL.)I also lease it out for photo shoots several days a week to models, content creators, documentary shoots etc. Most of those are on sight without any traveling. Depending on your location you can do the same and make some good $$$ from it. I have driven it to the Turkey Run in Daytona for several years now and I created a Club Parking space for other Winnebago's to join in the fun. We call ourselves The Traveling Tonka's. I drive it most days of the week to grab coffee at Dunkin Donuts, breakfast in different towns, practically anywhere. From Florida I have been to Georgia, Tennessee, the Carolinas and statewide in Florida. My schedule doesn't give me much time to use it for long trips and so it's time to pass it along to the next caretaker. I have owned it for over 5 years which is a LONG time for me as I usually go thru vehicles within 6 months or so just to keep my short attention span happy but this thing is amazing and I will be bummed when it leaves. The custom Dr. Pepper cabinet contains the sink and stovetop. The stove is fuel by an underside propane tank. The orange carburetor / ignition cabinets are used as kitchen cabinets. There is a battery pack below (comes with a solar panel) the fridge that can supply electric to the fridge/freezer, as well as the 50's Schaefer Beer atomic age clock (above the stove). You can also plug electric to supply the whole Winnebago at any camping site or your home location if desired. There is a Kohler generator on board as well that runs on gas from the rear tank. It has a hitch in the rear as well as up front if you want to put a rack to hold bikes, minibikes or whatever fits. From bumper to bumper it is 20' in length and 8' wide. It's approx. 10 1/2 feet high with skylight and A/C roof unit. I installed commercial carpeting that has held up really well to all the traffic it gets. This Winnebago also has the rare Buddy seat up front for passengers. Both front seats swivel. The dinette table is on legs and not mounted to the floor so you can move it in or out from where you are seated. You can use your phone Bluetooth thru the radio, and it sounds pretty good from the 4 speakers within, 2 up front and 2 in the rear above the bed. There's a pulldown bed that tucks away above the front seats. There's a Death Proof / Convoy Duck up front as a hood ornament that is one of the most photographed features. Windshield wipers work, heater as well, it has power steering, aluminum radiator and plenty of storage for tools, belongings, etc. The roof gets sealed once a year. I have 2 locker style cabinets for clothing. There is a bathroom that has a small shower if you don't want to use the campground facilities as well as a sink and toilet outside of the shower area. The toy Winnebago stays with the vehicle and people love it and many remember the Tonka Toys when they were kids. This is NOT the vehicle for someone who does not like attention. My personal photos, posters and registered license plates, longboard and a few other personal small items will not be included. There's plenty of space for yours. This Winnebago is from 1977 and will need care and maintenance inside and out throughout the year. Even brand-new R/V's that are practically off the assembly line need the same. PLEASE do not make any offers or Buy It Now unless you are ready to actually own it and have the means and permission if need be. Payment can be direct cash or wired to my bank NO EBAY PAYMENTS will be accepted. I purchase all of my vehicles either by wire or cash. You can do the same. The Buy it Now is far less then I have into it. It's an amazing opportunity for someone and is a showstopper at any car, hot rod or charity event. I have some great videos but when I uploaded one the quality was subpar. If I can figure it out how to add more/better, I will. One of the pictures are friends sitting rooftop checking out the cars at Turkey Run in Daytona. The front has a custom visor that looks great. It can be removed if you wanted. I was going to use it to interview people at shows and events because it can be set up easily to do so. It would make a great rolling studio for your YouTube, or any social media profile you may have.
