2008 Roadtrek 210 Popular on Chevy Express 3500 Extended Van

Ultimate Solo Boondocker

MUST SELL QUICKLY!! Reduced Price $20,000 FIRM Title in Hand

This is the ultimate customized solo boondocker’s RV. I’ve owned it for 9 years, lived in it 7 months every summer, and put 110K miles on it. Numerous upgrades now make it a super comfortable solo off-grid boondocker with a twin XL 80” mattress and enough room for a bike inside! But sadly now at 71, it’s time for me to give it up.

I need to need to sell it FAST as I'm moving to Hawaii November 20th. So it will become available mid-November. But you can come and look any time.

There is NOTHING that needs fixing either inside or out. All fluids have been changed on schedule and any service needed, done. I have ALL the records! This Chevy Express 3500 6.0L engine, with 177,760 miles, is a champ with tons of power. It’s never overheated, never set off warning lights, and doesn't burn oil. With oil changes every 6K miles, this engine is known for making 300K. Plugs and wires were new this year. Handling is superb due to the multiple suspension upgrades including a 2.5” lift, a complete front end rebuild last year, new shocks, and 2” rear wheel spacers. The rear axle has been upgraded to the heavy duty Dana 70. And removing the terrible generator and the broken AC lightened the rear end by 300 pounds. The sweet American Racing alloy rims are shod with BF Goodrich All-Terrain T/A KO tires. They were new in 2022, are evenly worn and have lots of life left.

All house systems work. The two 6V lead-acid golf cart batteries, with a remote watering system, were new last year and can easily last 3 days. They are charged by the chassis DC-DC alternator plus the 100W Renogy solar panel on the roof. The 30 gallons of fresh water can last almost 2 weeks if conservative. Showering in the walk-in wet bath is wonderful as the propane heater gets water hot quickly. The kitchen includes a stainless sink and a two-burner propane stove. The propane furnace, with a new automatic thermostat, keeps you toasty. The Dometic 3-way refrigerator with freezer is HUGE and has been very reliable. Sewage is handled by a macerator system. Standup height inside is 74” and there is tons of storage both inside and out. The roof was painted with DiCor Cooling paint and it does keep things cooler. I’m serious when I say I’ve been silly comfortable.

If you are familiar with Roadtreks, you know their reputation for strength, durability and quality. The RV shell is really strong; you literally could do a dance on the roof! And the interior cabinets are solid wood. There's nothing cheap here!

Below are the solo boondocking customizations:

  • Removed power sofa as it completely consumed the rear storage area. Built a fixed rear storage area, an upholstered backrest, and installed twin XL 6” memory foam mattress (80” long). Now there’s plenty of room for a bicycle, inflatable SUP and much more plus a very comfortable bed.

  • Removed Cummins generator and KoolKat AC as both were broken. Built a huge waterproof storage area that can fit a window AC if needed.

  • Installed 100W Renogy Black flexible solar panel with a Victron controller capable of handling another 100W panel.

  • Redesigned the house battery storage compartment with a remote watering system.

  • Removed the microwave, which is useless for boondocking, and added another large storage cabinet.

  • Removed the obsolete analogue roof TV antenna and the old house AV system, and upgraded to new Samsung TV and Sony DVD player.

  • Built a small bedside storage box

  • Removed the Fiamma canopy as it was destroyed in a microburst and installed eyelets for a tarp system that takes 10 min to set up and is more reliable in wind.

Included in this sale is a new never used ADCO UV Hydro RV cover worth $450 plus lots of other useful extras too numerous to list.

After purchase, I will spend an entire day with you familiarizing you to all the systems use and care. I want you to be happy in the Roadtrek as I have been so happy all these years.
