This is a spacious, well-equipped 42-foot fifth wheel that was built for real living, not just weekend camping. The 36BHQ Cobalt Edition has the popular mid-bunk floorplan, four slides, and a layout that actually feels open and usable.
One of the best parts of this particular unit is the mid bunk room. The bunk beds have been removed, which opens the space up significantly. It now works great as a second living area, office, playroom, or extra storage. All of the original bunk beds and hardware are included and will go with the camper, so you can put them back in if you ever want to. Most people who see it prefer it the way it is now.
You’ll find a full rear living area with plenty of seating, a solid kitchen with island, residential-style refrigerator, and good counter space. Up front is a private master bedroom with decent closet space and a full bathroom. There’s also a loft above the mid room that adds even more sleeping or storage options. Outside you’ve got the power awning, outside kitchen prep, and the usual Sabre Cobalt upgrades that made these models nicer than the base versions.
This is a 2019 model with the Cobalt package, so it came better equipped from the factory than a standard Sabre. It’s a big, comfortable fifth wheel that tows reasonably for its size and gives you real room to spread out.
If you’re looking for a bunkhouse floorplan but don’t necessarily want the bunks taking up space every day, this setup is ideal. The beds are there if you need them later — they’re just not installed right now.
Living Room AC RTU upgraded July 2026 to Dometic 15,000 BTU RTU from the standard 10K - this is a considerably costly job, and you will reap the benefits for many years to come. The primary room will freeze you out of it if desired.
Now for the negative- This season during a short term-rental, the shower drain is about 40% cracked on the pan. It is repairable, but it is without saying that i was not told about it initially causing fairly significant damage in the basement storage area. Luckily, this is beside the main supply hookups anyway, but there is a soft spot right when you open the bay door. This is an otherwise dry, meticulously maintained camper ready for its next adventure. I am happy and willing to answer any and all questions regarding the camper. Clean title in hand.
